It is always exciting when you get to watch a family grow. I was lucky enough to be trusted to do not only their maternity and family pictures but I also got to document BOTH of their daughter’s newborn portraits. Their first daughter in 2017 and their newest little this past June in our new Red Deer studio.

 Introducing Layla Charlie Grace <3

This sweet pea joined us for her newborn when she was 2 weeks old, and a perfect 7lbs 8oz.  Her parents decided to get newborn photos because “babies grow and change so much. They are only little for such a short time” and they wanted to document it. 

When you get the pleasure of taking photos for a family throughout the years, you often get to know them quite well during the sessions. During Layla’s newborn session I remember how much Amara just wanted to hold and snuggle her baby sister. It’s always a great time when photographing this family, and I am sure I’ll see them again soon.
